Wrong way driver arrested – So, what is it with Arizona and people going the WRONG WAY on our roads, highways and off-ramps? I mean seriously. I’ve only lived in the Copper State for about a decade but DANG, so many wrong way arrests!

Anyone old enough to remember Wrong-Way Feldman? From Gilligan’s Island? He could have save them SO many times but, he kept going the WRONG WAY.

Anyway…..THIS dufus was caught driving on West Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway in the wrong direction and illegally possessing a firearm this morning (Sunday), police said. OH BOY! Guess they “was hatin’, patrollin’ and tryna catch him ridin’ dirty” and actually caught him ‘ridin’ dirty‘.

Maricopa’s finest said that Sebastian Navarette-Ramirez, 26, was booked into Pinal County Jail on suspicion of several charges of ‘ridin’ dirty’, specifically: two counts of misconduct involving weapons, and one count each of – possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated DUI and driving with a suspended license. Navarette-Ramirez also had a warrant out for his arrest. Someone was RIDIN’ FITHY!

According to the probable cause statement from Maricopa police:  

“We saw him rollin’
You know we hatin’
Patrollin’ and tryna catch him ridin’ dirty”

No seriously, it stated:

At about 3:10 a.m., Maricopa Police stopped a vehicle near West Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and North White and Parker Road for driving westbound in the eastbound lane of West Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway. The vehicle was reported to be in the incorrect lane of travel for about 200 feet. 

Police contacted Navarette-Ramirez, who was in the driver’s seat. Navarette-Ramirez told officers that there were no weapons in the vehicle, when asked. 

Maricopa police ran a background check on Navarette-Ramirez that revealed that the man was indeed riding dirty. He had a suspended license as of Dec. 24, 2018 (DUDE!), due to failure to stop at a red light. 

Dude, 4 YEARS AGO? I know wait times at the Arizona MVD are long but DANG Sebastian!!!! DOUBLE FACEPALM FOR YOU BRO….

So Sebastian was booked and processed for driving under the influence. As he admitted to drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana and using methamphetamine. Must have been celebrating that outstanding warrant huh?

The man provided a Preliminary Breath Test sample of .055, and was placed under arrest for aggravated DUI and driving with a suspended license. 

THEN, according to Maricopa police, during a search of the vehicle officers found a Ruger SR9 firearm with ONE 9mm round, which officers said was “hidden” under the back seat. They also found a small baggie of The Devil’s Lettuce (marijuana), an empty baggie (hmmmm?) and two digital scales were found in the center console. Guess he was weighing his options.

Wait, ONE ROUND? Who carries just ONE BULLET? OH YEAH, I remember who:

Maricopa police state that ole Sebastian is a convicted felon and a prohibited firearms possessor. So NO GUNS for ‘Bastian. The man completed a blood draw for the DUI process, and was booked on the five charges and warrant. 

Sebastian is getting a WELL DESERVED retreat at Pinal County, on our dime. Enjoy ‘Bastian!
