Maricopa Man Arrested For Assault – A Maricopa man faces charges of assault, disorderly conduct, criminal damage, domestic violence and preventing use of telephone in an emergency, according to Maricopa police. This stems from an incident, last night (September 6th), according to Maricopa police.
The Maricopa police wrote, in the probable cause statement –
At 8 p.m., Branson is suspected of assaulting a woman after engaging in “seriously disruptive behavior,” by yelling and screaming profanities at her at a residence in Santa Rosa Crossings.
As the woman was laying on the bed, Branson grabbed the woman’s legs and attempted to pull her off the bed.
Branson saw the woman calling 911, took the phone and eventually threw it across the street into an open field.
When the victim attempted to flee, Branson attacked her from behind by punching and pushing her. This caused her to fall to the ground.
Maricopa Man Arrested For Assault
While she was still on the ground, Branson grabbed many of the woman’s personal things and threw them out onto the front yard of the residence. Including her cell phone, with which she had attempted to dial 911.
The victim managed to get away from Branson and to a neighbor’s house where she was able to successfully dial 911. When the Maricopa officers arrived, they witnessed Branson tossing the victim’s belongings onto the front yard.
Nicolas J. Branson, 35, was booked into Pinal County Jail to face all of the above stated charges.
