GRAPHIC VIDEO: A Cococina County Deputy shot & killed armed robber. Flagstaff police say a man who allegedly robbed a gas station store in Flagstaff and threatened people with a screwdriver was shot and killed by a sheriff’s deputy on Wednesday morning.
At about 5 a.m., a Flagstaff police officer responded to a call that a man, later identified as 51-year-old Donald Wayne Henry of Missouri, had broken a gas station window and was stealing items from the store near Highway 89 and North Cummings Street.
At about the same time, the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office got a report about a person threatening to stab people with a knife at a business in the same area.

Deputy shot & killed armed robber
Police say the arriving officer confronted Henry in the middle of the road. Henry was armed with a screwdriver and refused to drop it. Two CCSO deputies arrived and surrounded Henry, pointing their guns and a stun gun.
One deputy ordered Henry to “Get on the ground, dude,” Henry did NOT comply . Henry is seen in the video backpedaling into the gas station parking lot. He runs across the street, with law enforcement still pointing their weapons at him. “Stop dude, stop!” the deputy ordered as Henry charges toward the deputy. The deputy was forced to fire his gun four times, hitting Henry. He died at the scene. No officers were hurt.
This is the 26th officer-involved shooting outside of Maricopa County and the 73rd in the state in 2022.
